The platform sections are fixed from underneath the baseboard surface with 5mm nylon bolts – holes for these can be seen on the nearer board. The platform is constructed entirely of plasticard, and is faced with Slaters English bond sheet, after an initial unsuccessful attempt with Howard Scenics' card sheet.
The fencing is a mixture of Slaters and plasticard scratchbuilt.
